My name is Jessie and since this photography business was started because of me, I thought I would share my story.

When I was just a wee little pup, my Mom and Dad traveled to Wisconsin to look for a new little family member. You see, just one week earlier they lost a 10 year old puppy to cancer and they were very sad.

They heard about me and saw my picture on something called the Internet. So they jumped into the car and off they went to come meet me. I had a little sister as well, but when I saw them I went running up to my new Mom and jumped in her lap and the next thing I know, I was off to the Big City.

Well I had everything a little pup could imagine. Toys, kennels and treats galore!!!

Life was a lot of fun and I started puppy obedience and loved meeting other dogs and had a great time. I grew up in a large family of dogs on a farm, you see. Well about a month later I started to get sick. Mom and Dad got real worried, so they drove me to the doctor. He found a genetic heart defect. There was a valve in my heart that was supposed to close when I was born, but it didn't. The doctors felt since I was so young and otherwise healthy that I would have a good chance to make it through surgery. Mom and Dad made the choice to let me have surgery and gave me a chance to live.

While waiting at home on bed-rest for the surgery date, I got real sick again and had to be rushed to the hospital and Dad thought that he was going to lose me in the car. The doctors and techs were great and helped me so much when I arrived. I had open heart surgery on a Friday and it went really well and I was given so much love and care from the hospital staff. I went home two days later and when I realized that I was home, I went running down the hall to my door.

It has now been 1 and 1/2 years since surgery, and I am almost 2. I have a great home and I am spoiled rotten. The doctors said I will grow up to be a normal adult dog with no restrictions.

Four months after surgery Mom enrolled me in puppy agility and now I have graduated to the novice program. I love running, jumping through hoops and climbing ramps.

Three weeks after surgery and with a big scar they took me to get photos of us all together for the first time. It is one of my favorite pictures. They don't have nice pictures of their first puppy and they wish they did have some. That is why Dad wanted me to share my story. By the way, Dad has over 20 years experience in photography.

He is available to take your picture with your favorite puppy or cat and the best part is he will come to your house or agility ring. By the way, I promised him I would not get jealous when I smell your little one when he comes home. I know he will make the best memories for you, just like we are making for each other.
